- The car rally conducted at Chennai, India on March29, 2009 was a challenge for the visually impaired participants.
- 62 teams participated in the event.
- The event conducted by the Madras Motor Sports Club (MMSC) in association with the National Association for the Blind (NAB) proved that humanbeings are not hampered by any adversities.
- The driver of each car was navigated by a blind person with the route provided in a Braille code. The team with the least number of penalty points was declared a winner. Anitha and Manjula had a near perfect drive with just one penalty point and won the rally. Lavanya and Vanaja had 13 penalty points. Senthilkumar and Kannan had 18 penalty points and declsred winners.
- The rally was a confidence builder and a real challenge for the visually impaired to navigate the vehicle through the busy roads of Chennai.
